tummy cut on tele body

This is sacrilege to telecaster die hards, but I don't care. I like the curves on a guitar body with a tummy cut and forearm contour.
started by drawing the shape of the cut. That looks like a lot of wood coming off.

These pictures show the body just at the start. I used a rasp and a couple of files to work away. It is slow going but easier to see progress and less risky than power tools. I was able to work on the little deck outside our unit. The railing made for a useful bench.

Still going at it in the rain. But the contours are starting to take shape.

That used to be a straight block of wood.

Two steps forward

The laser cut template looks pretty good. But in the end the router chamfer bit jumped and demoed the final product with the pickguard material.

I tested out my ability on the bandsaw to cut out a peghead shape, with reasonable success, given the fact that the bandsaw wasn't really that useful.I ended up using a jigsaw and belt sander to do the job.
